When it comes down to it, there are three major operating systems that you can use. Windows, Mac , and Linux are essentially the only three choices. Linux users know who they are, and wouldn’t need any help figuring out what kind of computer user they are.

Choosing between Windows and Mac is a very difficult thing, but is made significantly easier because of the way stores are currently set up.The full explanation can be found at <a href='http://www. omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/12/linux-users-continue-to-most-for-the-humble-indie-bundle/’>http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/12/linux-users-continue-to-most-for-the-humble-indie-bundle/ You can go to the Apple store and play around with Mac, and you can go to any major electronics store and mess around with Windows. Most current computer users grew up with Windows, but those numbers seem to be changing and we could see a big shift in the next few years.

Windows also has the big advantage of being used by most of the corporate world. The only industries that use Mac’s are the creative industries. Video editing, photo editing, and music editing are all done almost exclusively on the Mac software.

It really comes down to personal preference. Everyone has one. Finding yours is the quickest way to learning what the right operating system is for you. Whichever one feels more natural immediately will be the one that you should use.

Choosing an operating system for your home is sometimes compared to choosing a brand of car. Everyone seems to have an allegiance and there really is no right answer. However, there are some great key indicators that will guide you towards choosing the operating system that will best work for your family.

It all comes down to what kind of computer users you have in your home. Are you power users looking to get the most out of your computers? Or are you just looking for a computer that is reliable and will do everything you want it to the first time you ask. That is the biggest difference.

With Windows, you will be able to do everything you could ever want it to do. You can tweak the system to your heart’s content and get it running just the way you like. However, you are more open to viruses and malware on the Internet.

With an Apple computer, you give up some of that freedom, but in return you get an easy to use computer that works every time. People who aren’t very good with technology would benefit greatly from owning an Apple product.

Choosing the right operating system for your home is a difficult challenge, but can be made easier by learning some good tips.

It’s a simple fact that when it comes to your home office, the best operating system to use is going to be a Windows operating system. There are many reasons for this, including the fact that almost everything is compatible with Windows, while on the other hand almost nothing is compatible with Mac operating systems, (at least when it comes to business needs and functions). If you’re someone who has used computers before, (five or six years ago), then you’ll automatically be used to the old Windows layout found in XP and older of operating systems. This is by far the best type of operating system for people who simply don’t need the fancy new looks of newer operating systems.

If you do however want the awesome, flashy new looks of Windows Vista or 7, those operating systems will still function almost the exact same way. The only difference is that sometimes these operating systems have a tendency to have their looks get in the way of how the operating system actually functions. In addition, (if you’re use to using operating systems like Windows XP), you’re going to have to get used to a few changes in commands and what not in the Windows 7 or Vista operating systems.

Windows 7 is without a doubt the best operating system for gamers on the web. Loads of games take advantage of the web when it comes to multiplayer experiences and many of these games only run on Windows operating systems and not on others such as Mac OS or Linux.

Let’s say that you wanted to play some newer games on a computer running Windows 7. New games tend to be on the cutting edge in terms of graphics, and graphics card makers such as nVidia have the best hardware available pretty much only for Windows 7. So even if you found a newer game that could run on another operating system, it wouldn’t look nearly as good or play as smoothly.

Even if you just wanted to play older computer games on Windows 7 you can still do this either with the compatibility mode that is inherent in Windows 7 or with other software that has been developed for Windows that lets you.

Finally, not to discount the other important pieces of hardware that give rise to the best multiplayer experiences, such as audio hardware, and that they are frequently developed with a Windows 7 operating system in mind.

Let’s face it, the use of computers has slowly gotten more complex over the past ten or so years. Instead of the dozen or so operating systems we had back then, we now have around one hundred to choose from and be confused from. With that being said, there is absolutely no reason to be confused. While there are many different operating systems that you can end up choosing from, most of them aren’t very popular.<a href= ‘http://royal.pingdom.com/2011/12/13/the-state-of-microsoft-windows-in-2011-win-7-and-xp-battle-for-domination/’>This/tag helps explain it more. The real well known operating systems are that of Mac and Windows, as the others are mainly just used for developing purposes, which you will not have to worry about.

Once you’ve narrowed it down to the Mac or Windows operating systems, you need to figure out which one is going to work the best for your needs. First off, you should know the main difference between the two. Windows computers are great at just about everything, (depending on the specifications you get for your computer, at least). Mac computers are superior in the music, working and accessories department, but are not good at all for if you’re trying to play games on your computer. They are not considered the fastest computers, although the new Mac operating systems have gotten a lot more gaming friendly.

If you’re looking towards choosing Windows, then you’re going to have to make the choice between Windows XP, Vista, or 7. Anything earlier than Windows XP will be a waste of an operating system, (and your money), because hardly anything is compatible with the older versions of Windows. Windows XP has the old school look and less clutter, while Windows Vista and Windows 7 are focused towards making your computer LOOK good. Windows Vista has had many problems, so it’s suggested you don’t choose that operating system if you can help it.

As for Macs, just about any recent operating system that they’ve released is going to be great. Just keep in mind that your Mac operating system may not have the ability to do all of the processing or gaming that you want it to do.
